Congratulations to the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats, Greenwood Bulldogs, Pulaski Academy Bruins, Arkadelphia Badgers, Rivercrest Colts, and Foreman Gators on winning their respective state championships.

It's hard to believe the season is over already, but it was another great year. Going in, I thought a team from the Central had a shot at winning the 7A title. North Little Rock made the trip last year and came up short, but had a lot of talent coming back this year, and ultimately got the job done.

Greenwood was the same way. They entered the season on a mission, and completed their mission against Pine Bluff.

Speaking of a mission: Pulaski Academy wanted to be the first team to win four in a row since the Barton Bears. McClellan gave them all they wanted and then some in the title game, but the Bruins were able to get it done.

The 4A game ended in a crazy way, but take nothing away from Arkadelphia. Their kids played hard and made the plays they needed to in order to get the win. The 7-4A has had a lot of great football in recent years, and they finished on top this year.

Rivercrest had a great season, and dominated their championship game to win their third state title in their programs history. Hats off to them for getting the job done.

And finally, congrats to the Foreman Gators. Everyone knew that Mount Ida had enough to return to the rock this year, and they did just that. We all know they dominated Foreman during the regular season, but it is hard to beat the same team twice, and they found that out the hard way tonight. Congratulations to the Gators for earning the first state title in the history of their program.

It wont be long and we will be talking football again. Combines, camps, spring football, and 7-on-7's will be coming up before we know it, and we will be cranking up for the 2018 season before we know it!
