First off, it was another GREAT battle between the two teams. As I stated all week, you can throw records, stats, etc. out the window when these two teams play.
Fordyce had a plan, and they executed it flawlessly. They have a great quarterback in Cole Johnson, and a great receiving corps.
I was very impressed with FB Austin Nutt. That kid is a hoss. I don't have all of his particulars, but he is a junior and you will hear his name in the recruiting circles over the next two years.
Key stat of the game: Rison gave up eight penalties for 100 yards. Was this the difference in the game? It had a lot to do with it, yes. Rison was plagued with pass interference penalties all night long, most especially in the third quarter where they had five PI's in a row at one point.
Fordyce is a team which could make some noise in the playoffs. Rison is as well, but they need to find some passing defense, and one that can do more than just commit pass interference penalties all night long.
