ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University football team has released a list of 36 high school seniors that will join the Tigers for the 2025 season and beyond as a part of National Signing Day.

The 2025 class features 20 from the state of Arkansas, 11 from Texas, four from Louisiana, and one from Florida. Of the 20 from Arkansas, 14 hail from within a 90-mile radius of Arkadelphia, including five from the reigning Arkansas Class 7A state champion Bryant Hornets.

"Our coaching staff did an excellent job of really focusing in on what our needs were heading into the offseason," said Ouachita Head Coach Todd Knight. "As always, our standard is we start from home and move out, which has really shown and continues to showcase the high level of football being played in high schools close by and in surrounding states like Texas and Louisiana."

Knight noted special emphasis given to the defensive line and quarterback position groups, two areas that lost a lot to graduation. "We found young men who not only fit the athleticism and talent that we were looking for, but they also have so many other traits that are important to our program like high character, strong academics, and strong in their faith."

This group of signees joins a program that has posted 16 consecutive winning seasons, which is the longest active streak among all college football programs in the state of Arkansas. The Tigers won the program's seventh Great American Conference championship this past season and made the NCAA Division II playoffs for the sixth time with a final record of 10-2.

"High school recruiting has been so important to us and it's one of the main reasons we've been able to sustain such a high level of success on the field. I'm looking forward to seeing how these new young men impact our program over the next few years."

The breakdown of the 2025 signing class has 19 offensive players, 15 defensive players, and two specialists. The largest position group in the class is defensive backs with six, followed by five linebackers, five offensive linemen, five receivers, four defensive linemen, four quarterbacks, three running backs, one kicker/punter, one tight end, one fullback, and one long snapper.
