Baseball 2021 Baseball Finals Location Changed to Benton

The Arkansas Activities Association has moved the State finals for Baseball and Softball to Benton High. Games will be played on May 21-22.

These games are typically played in Fayetteville at Baum Stadium. However, Fayetteville High did not bid this year, so Benton gets the nod.

So the prize for the kids is a paid trip to Benton High School. When my kid played, it was motivation to play in Baum. Why can't they just have it in Baum anyway, regardless of what Fayetteville High does?

Because a local high school must place a bid for it. That's the way the rules are written. By them not putting in a bid it automatically removed the UofA from Baseball and Softball title consideration.
